The ESL One Cologne 2020 is one of the most important titles in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive events and one of the highlights of the summer season. This year, the event has been forced to transition to an online regional event, as has happened with all other events. The event has been split into Europe, North America, Asia, and Oceania regions to make it easier for the teams to play online. Some teams will probably benefit from smaller pools to compete with, while others are expected to give us some amazing matches. The Group Stage is a two double-elimination format and all matches are best of 3. The top four teams of each group will advance to the Playoffs. North America, has two groups of four teams, with the top two of each group advancing to the Playoffs. Both the Oceanic and Asian Divisions will start playing directly the Playoffs.
